I’m babysitter, and I just accepted a summer a nannying job that’s 4 days a week watching a four year old girl.
The family asked me if I could come up with some learning activities for her because she’s at an age where she’s ready to do more than free play. I normally watch younger toddlers although I do have some experience working in a small daycare so I have an idea of some activities.
I am mostly fluent in sign language so I want to come up with some ways to teach her the alphabet in english and sign language together and teach her some basic signs, and I want to do activities like talking about the weather and talking about how she feels every day morning.
I’m looking for any ideas for fun activities to come up with to teach her things that don’t want to take a bunch of money from my pocket since I am just being paid to babysit and buying her supplies is a little above my pay grade but I want to give her a good experience. The parent said it doesn’t need to be a structured as a full on preschool but they want her to have some good learning activities and some structure. Thanks in advance if anyone has any advice :)
