Iām new to this and havenāt started the process yet but really need thoughts and support. My sweet little boy (8 years old, second grader, still in school) is remarkably intelligent and weāve played hell with public school, just trying to get him through it. Heās doing great grades wise but he doesnāt fit the āschool moldā and Covid has caused so many detriments to his education. I want to pull him out and home school him from 3rd to 6th grade, then reintegrate him so he can try the upper grades and the opportunities with extracurricular activities that arenāt offered in elementary. Iām looking at unschooling him or doing free form education as long as I can keep him up to the milestones with each year. Any advice for an insecure mom who is just really trying?
