I’m new to this and haven’t started the process yet but really need thoughts and support. My sweet little boy (8 years old, second grader, still in school) is remarkably intelligent and we’ve played hell with public school, just trying to get him through it. He’s doing great grades wise but he doesn’t fit the “school mold” and Covid has caused so many detriments to his education. I want to pull him out and home school him from 3rd to 6th grade, then reintegrate him so he can try the upper grades and the opportunities with extracurricular activities that aren’t offered in elementary. I’m looking at unschooling him or doing free form education as long as I can keep him up to the milestones with each year. Any advice for an insecure mom who is just really trying?
