The one downside to homeschooling

So I (17f) have been homeschooling for all of my high-school life. And also the whole 6th grade of my life. The good thing about homeschooling is that I get to go at my own pace and mostly wake up at whatever time I want. The only down side is the talking part. I always sucked at making friends or talking to people my age. So I usually just go with the adults instead when I was in elementary. Yea I did have friends but even then I would still go hang out with the guard lady's all the time.

Then when I finally got to go to middle school. I had to had a person with me at all time. Which was a adult. She would walk me to class and stay with me at snack time and sometimes even lunch time. But I would be able to stay with my friends and talk to them. Or something I would just sneak away or just straight up leave before the lady would come to class and I would walk by myself or with a friend to class.

Now in high school yea I had friends but that's when I still had some friends from middle school. Then once I went into homeschooling I did keep talking to a few friends but after a bit things just stopped.

I only made one friend in homeschooling and even then we really don't even talk.

And the friends I do have left are already getting jobs and some are just busy or getting really stuck up. So I'm mostly just alone or whenever my friend wants to come over so she doesn't have to clean when her mom makes her or when she is bored or just has the time.

But my mom got a email from my school saying that they are doing grad night and I got excited because this is really the only real high school thing I get to do by myself without my brother or my mom ( check my page to see that story cuse that part would make more sense with the contex)

But the thing was the chaperone has to be 16 or 18. Now I could invite my friend but my mom put a stop to that because she said that friend wouldn't even think about inviting me to her grad night so no. Then I said what about another friend and she said no because he has been getting stuck up lately. Then I say what about another friend and she said but that friend is always busy.

So I'm put of options. I mean if they allowed adults like over 18 then I could have asked my cousin or even asked one of my other friends who is my brother's friends older sisters since we get along. But I'm out of options and I told my mom that I just don't even want to go anymore but she said that I will go I just need to find someone. But who!? Honestly there is no one!
