Can you install a smart light switch that currently turns on an electrical plug in the wall with a lamp plugged into it?
Post Body

Hoping someone can help me with this. I have a number of light switches in my condo that just turn on an electrical outlet so when you have a lamp plugged into it, it turns on the lamp. I don't know what that type of electrical setup is called and therefore I haven't been able to find a smart light switch that would be compatible with.

So I am wondering if anyone knows whether they make smart light switches that would work in this setup.

Comments

It's just a switched outlet? Any smart light switch should work, but dimming functions would likely not.
