My first house, what are these pvc pipes for, that jut straight up in the basement?
Post Body

Getting my first house, so im rather ignorant to these kinds of things. What are these pvc pipes coming straight up out of the cement slab basement floor? There are four total.

One broke off and ive attached a close up of down the hole. There are stones at the bottom and a little bit of standing water. There is also an inspection sticker saying that the cement slab has passed inspection stuck to the side of one of the pvc pipes.

Follow up question, what can i do with these? Can i cut them off and cover them up somehow for a flat surface? Or fill them in with cement? I do have a sump pump in the basement as well.
