Hey y'all, I hope this is the right place to get some help.
We had a windstorm come through a while back which ripped off some of our shingles. I got a contractor and my insurance adjuster out here to evaluate the damage, insurance is saying they'll cover the missing shingles and a bit more but the contractor is saying due to status of the roof they can't repair it without damaging more shingles, and so on and the whole roof just needs replaced (it's only about 7 years old).
I understand my insurance policy says they don't cover wear and tear and they're claiming that since the future damage that'll be caused by repairing the missing shingles are due to wear and tear that they won't cover any more.
Is that it for me or do I have any other options to fight this?
