Ceiling Drywall

I canā€™t figure out what is causing the drywall on the ceiling in our kitchen to sag like this. Itā€™s kind of hard to tell from the photos but is more noticeable in person.

There is a bathroom roughly above this portion of the kitchen but if it were water seepage Iā€™d think I would see some kind of staining.

Iā€™ve noticed it for a while but sometimes itā€™s almost unnoticeable, like it ā€œdries upā€ and doesnā€™t sag...I sound like an idiot right now...but canā€™t pin point the issue and donā€™t want to open the ceiling unless Iā€™m certain of whatā€™s going on.

Any ideas?
