How to find the cause of coughing
Post Body

I cough a lot, mainly at home. Went on a two week trip and the cough went away almost entirely. Youngest kid coughs at home too. Rest of the family doesn’t. I didn’t cough until after getting Covid in early 2022, almost 5 years after moving in

asthma medication keeps the cough under control but gives me a bad runny nose. I can hike at a fast pace without problem so it’s situational rather than everywhere

the house is 7 years old. we built it.

We had high radon levels, so we got a system in (the builder did the prep work for one) and the test after came back good. It’s working fine.

We have a UV filter in the air blower and the system was maintained twice in the past year

We had a company come out and they didn’t find mold. Said the house was so clean they didn’t want to do a test. One shower picks up surface mildew if we don’t run the fan and that’s about it.

We had a lightning strike roofline fire a few months after completion and related water damage but replaced all carpet that was impacted, did duct cleaning and the attic was painted to seal in any smoke residue

What would make sense to look for next?
