My wife and I were first time buyers and bought this house that was built I believe in the 1930s. I know I screwed up but we are stuck with it and trying our best to fix it up and get the hell out of it ASAP. I have no experience with any type of home improvement ( I grew up in NYC) but no one is going to do it for me so I have to try my best. Can someone tell me why this wall is here? It’s in the basement and there is literally dirt behind it.
