Hey! I live in an apartment in central florida - we had a leak in our ceiling and a bunch of the ceiling was removed, then replaced. This took two days.
I started to notice houseflies for the first time two days ago. As of yesterday, we have like... a lot.
I killed thirty of them in one room. It's pretty disgusting.
I keep a clean house, it's important to me. So you can see why this would be distressing.
I'm trying to figure out why we have flies all of the sudden, and how I can get rid of them besides genociding them with my sandal.
The only two sources I can think of are a house plant I have had for weeks, and this renovation in the bathroom. Could we have had houseflies in our walls that suddenly got out?
Would love your help because this is stressing me out.
//edit: I believe they are in this room because it is the warmest and has a large window. I think this because the window is where I found 90% of them and, at night, they hover around a light in that room.
