Sorry I don't really know the proper terminology, Google wasn't any help with this. I bought my house in 2022 and it was listed as 3 bed 2 bath and ~1400 sq ft. In reality, it has another bedroom (window and closet included) and probably another 300 sq ft. This comes from and addition that was built in the 70s. My realtor told me this space wasn't included in those stats because it's probably unregistered with the county? Would it increase my home value to get this registered? Should I wait until I eventually plan to sell because of tax reasons? I just don't know how this works. Thanks!
