For those who actually have spray foam insulation or work with insulation, is it worth it?
Post Body

First time homeowner. My attic needs insulation replaced badly, and none of my exterior walls are insulated. I live about an hour south of the Great lakes, it gets cold. Home built in 1966.

I'm stuck in my decision. It's more expensive, but lasts longer and has higher R Value than other options, and helps create air seal and moisture barrier (closed cell).

I have had people tell me it's worth it and others tell me it's not. I don't know who to believe, and who is just trying to get me to give them my money. If it's worth it, I don't mind spending more, but if it's all just hype and isn't really worth it I don't want to waste my money.

Is it worth paying more? What should I do? 😭
