My TCG I'm currently creating is a life deck game. Each player uses a character from the picture shown and has unique attacks, abilities etc to defeat their opponent. I was thinking a good way to combat the life deck issue (losing your cards that you need) would be to create a type of card called a "travel" card. They would be played in a certain section of the board.
Each one has an attack and defense, anytime you destroy an opponents travel card you can shuffle 1 card from your graveyard back into your deck. I was also thinking of having an ability for each travel card similar to planeswalkers in magic. For example one ability could be, for each turn your opponent has no travel cards played you can shuffle one card back into your deck. Each card could have 1 or even more than 1 ability.
I feel like this could combat the issue of losing all of your important cards, and also a way to make the game a little more fun by adding a twist. Thought?
