So I had about 80 cards printed out at staples (just for show and because I wanted to try to play test a few ideas I had)
So, these are 9/10 Characters in my first set. It's hard to tell (because copying these at staples really ruined the overall quality) but each character has a starting hand and a power. (The higher power of anyone involved in the game goes first. )
So, this is a life decking game, somewhat like wwe raw deal. I've talked to a few people on here who have mentioned that life deck games aren't usually popular. However, in thos game each player has numerous cards that can reverse attacks played. This betters the chance at saving your valuable cards from being milled from your deck. I was also throwing around a possible idea of allowing each player to gain access to any card in their discard pile up to 3 times per game (they would have to sacrifice that cards value) so let's say a card has 2 value worth that is in their discard pile. They could discard 2 cards to put this other card in their hand. That way, you have options of getting certain cards back, and by only allowing it 3 times it wont be a broken rule.
So the game is played by using various attacks, actions, land cards and some other cards. Certain cards have abilities and effects, attacks obviously do damage to your opponent. The goal is to make your opponent run out of life (their deck).
I was debating about adding a quick counter system as well, so if a player would play an attack, the opponent could play a counter, and then if the opposing player wanted to counter that counter, they could do so well. This wasn't in raw deal, I thought it would be a unique idea. I'm not sure though, I would need to test it out.
Oh one more thing, attacks give you energy to play better attacks. So if a card does 3 damage. That amount would be turned into energy. So you then could play any card thay requires 3 or less energy.
Any thoughts on the game, artwork etc? I'm hoping to get a small following interested in this game. It still has a lot of work, but I might make a Facebook account dedicated just to the game and the progress.
