I thought it would be a dope idea for people to pull out their less known frugal tips or programs, even if they’re local! For example for me;
Obvious ones: govt health insurance , EBT, (With EBT you can get your groceries delivered with Amazon, Walmart, instacart- I get a free trial every month new email)
UTILITIES: ACP (for a free phone or to lower internet bill), LIHEAP (winter season every year to help pay for your heating), CAP(or whatever state utility program you have, lowers gas and light bill)
Youthzone, FamilyLinks, Bethelhem Haven, Covenent House (Pittsburgh, last one in Philly): all five super good resources and are youth shelters with an abundance of programs and resources ( free hair, 5000$ match before 24, housing programs, job training, etc). These are for younger people. Always ask the homeless programs for help, they can pay for documents, give rides potentiallly, etc.
Queen Street shelter (worcester MA), MLK shelter (worcester MA).
Massachusetts program right now allowing 25 to get free associates degree.
MISC: LaundryLove: get free laundry done look on the website for closest laundrymat.
LasagnaLove; Free food sent to you. Vegan options, family size options.
Ibotta, Shopkick, Fetch: bunch of coupon apps. I will search into YouTube “target freebies or Walmart freebies” and they show you free stuff from coupons or even make money from in the store.
Facebook groups, Freestufffinder: Free Stuff! Keep looking, make sure you can carry it .
PrestoShopper, Marketforce, Secret Shopper: bunch of other mystery shopper apps but look into it, a nice way to side hustle and get paid for the movie or to eat
DSCOUT, Mindswarms: Studies for money. You do get rejected a lot but also answer how you think they want you to
Reddit Forums: Frugalliving, poverty, freebies, efree, randomactsofkindness, etc. all can be helpful
