Hi I'm looking at getting a small 8 port switch that supports VLANS two link up two buildings.
My network I want to setup like this.
Modem > switch in building 1 > power line adapter > power line adapter in building 2 (these are on the same circuit so they do work I've already tested) > sg500 > pfsense router (I'm going to use 1 NIC for WAN/LAN) hence the reason for vlan support.
I did see an SG200-08P on eBay for around £70 as I missed out on one was outbidded 10 seconds to go and wasn't quick enough getting in another max bid.
At the minute I got a 48p WCS 3750 10/100 POE, but it seems to be a bit too big for where I want to keep it.
I'm based in Oxfordshire but work in Slough. I don't mind travelling either up to about 2 hours so distance isn't an issue for me.
Thanks Leprejohn
