Proxmox Linux doesn't exist but should, what's a good alternative?

Post Body

So Proxmox Linux should be a thing. PVE and PBS both have some really nice features, like proxmox-boot-tool which automatically updates mirrored UEFI partitions, and of course includes ZFS root out of the box, with the friendly UI and mail notifications about things like Smart Health and service management and a quick easy view of logs. I know the UI can be kerjiggered with something like Cockpit, but that still leaves something to be desired about the boot process and built-in root zfs. So what do y'all use and recommend that's preferably 100% debian under the hood, and adds features like zfs root and UEFI partition management and monitoring and the like on top of things?
