Other than just using your Homelab as a test environment to break and learn things. Who here actually uses it as a portfolio for what they know to show to potential employers. Iโm still in Highschool (16) and got my first job over the summer working for the IT director of my school. I got to do it with my friend and made really decent money ($15 an hour). And used some of that money to make my Homelab completely overkill for someone my age. I learned some basic web development and created a homepage for my homelab domain (broomfieldhomelab.net) and am thinking of sending it to my IT director to see if itโs applicable to put on a resume for when I get a โrealโ job after I graduate. Does anyone else here use their lab as a showing point for their skills?
Edit: grammar
