Hey there!
As of yesterday, I noticed my HP MicroServer going into a boot loop, however having not touched this thing for 2 years, as well as not being familiar with the diagnostics tooling, I need a hand on trying to troubleshoot this thing.
My setup: Boot Drive - 128GB Sandisk USB with Unraid 1 x 4TB WD Red 3 x 3TB WD Red
Things I’ve tested so far:
- Unraid USB appears okay in another computer
- Still no boot with HDD’s removed
- Resetting BIOS / clearing CMOS
- Hardware / mem / SMART test - all passing
Things I’ve observed so far:
- All drives show as connected.
ran a USB port check on the port my USB was connected to, and got the following failure ID: FAILURE ID : 60F2MT-000B78-XD1G21-8D6R03
tried another USB port but no luck.
Tried enabling iLO, however even after a reboot, it still appears to be disabled.
Entering the Legacy BIOS boot menu just seems to hang and then my monitor goes into Standby mode.
Are there any more things I can try? Given the strange BIOS behaviour, im wondering if it could be a dead CMOS?
Many thanks!
Edit: Turns out my boot drive went funny some how! A re-flash of Unraid did the trick!
