I originally looked at this guy: Odroid-MC1 but then this guy caught my eye. Odroid-HC1
Looking for a project, I've seen various blogs about clustering Pi's and creating docker swarms but what else can I do with these to learn stuffs? I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if I slapped some cheap ssd's or even some old laptop drives into a 1/2 dozen of these bad boys and do something cool. But what? What can I do that I can't already do with an ESXi server? (Other than have a portable server/cluster lol)
Edit: Simplified but this is the idea that I'm bouncing around in my head. Just trying to figure out if I can do this to productively learn something before I drop several hundred dollars.
Edit 2: What would be kinda cool is to PXE boot the MC1's.
