So, forget about the problem I was having with my Dell Poweredge R630. I bought new drives and cables and added a cpu and more ram. New problem. I also obtained this device, a firewall of sorts, a SOPHOS SG230, and it requires a license and logins and all the small business stuff that it was meant for.
That being said, I created a login, signed up for the myUTM account and created a license so I could activate this thing so I can use it. On the WebAdmin interface it allows me to login but then stops me at the door and wants my license. So I downloaded my license file from the myUTM account page and tried to upload it. I get an error saying "cannot use ASG software license on SG230 device", but there was no stage of the process of obtaining a license where it asked me which equipment I was using or trying to activate. I'm confused.
It's a beautiful piece of equipment and even has a 128GB intel SSD inside it that must store all the firmware/software for running the firewall, etc. Does anyone know what I should do, aside from selling it or giving it away?
