I got two Mellanox ContectX-3 and its firmware is quite old. On nvidia is far newer firmware, but none of the PSID match. I just tried with the newest from Nvidia and I get this as expected

-E- PSID mismatch. The PSID on flash (DEL2310000023) differs from the PSID in the given image (MT_2340111023).

Is it possible to get any new firmware into this card or is it doomed to stay on the old one?

While I am asking. Any experience with this cards on Netgear (pfsense / freebsd). I tried to plug it in my netgear 7100, but the router didnt even want to boot. Any suggestions for a good 10/40G card with two or more SPF ports that words with netgear hardware?

The 7100 do got 2x 10G SPF, but for me it maxes at around 1.2G
