A Question for Homelabers in BC (Canada)

Hey All!

I’m a Canadian moving to Vancouver BC, I’ve spent the past few years building out my life and homelab in Toronto. I was on Bell as an ISP, where I could just bypass their router and go SFP straight into an Edgerouter 4 with PPPoE authentication. Bell was also starting to offer 8gbp/s I’m wondering what the vote is for an ISP in BC, that offers similar to bell. Don’t need

Secondly, I’m curious what most people with larger homelabs draw electrical wise. I’ve always been pretty efficiency conscious. So I don’t draw a lot, but I’m curious what the cost of power /month ends up being on average.

Third off, and less of a BC specific question. But for those of you running more than 1gbp/s uplinks to your ISP. Say like what Bell was offering with 8gbp/s What hardware are you using for firewalls and routers that can sustain that speed ?

Cheers all!
