Questions about cutting peel and stick floor tile!

I will try my best to word this.. I laid peel and stick tiles on my kitchen floor and now I just have the gaps to fill in like around the vent, door ways, etc. What is the easiest way to do this? I feel like there has to be some hack or easier way than my embarassing attempts to do this lol. Also, what do you use to cut them? I've been using a razor knife but it's so scary and I can't cut a straight line for the life of me! Any tips?
