Do you have to flip your switch twice with a shelly?

I have a shelly 2.5 connected to a switch and the app works perfectly. But the physical switch is a weird one.
Sometimes I can flip the switch once and it works as expected, sometimes I have to flip the switch twice for it to work as expected.
Did I do something wrong, or is that just how it is?
