With the announcement that Samsung is killing my v1 SmartThings hub, I'm looking into replacements and found out about HomeAssist.
My issue is that I've tried to replace my hub before, but most if not all Z-Wave Plus hubs aren't compatible with my Schlage door lock, as it only supports the older Z-Wave connection type, not Z-Wave Plus.
(The Z-Wave JS compatibility list shows that my lock model generally is compatible; the problem is that Schlage upgraded from Z-Wave to Z-Wave Plus without changing the model number.)
If I were to get a Raspberry Pi and, say, an Aotec Z-Stick Gen 5, does anyone know if I would still be able to connect to my door lock, using the older Z-Wave protocol?
Thanks!
