So I have a Google home setup with ~30 devices. I recently switched from Spotify to Apple Music. Infuriatingly, these products are designed to not play well together. I vastly prefer Apple Music, and looked around for some sort of bridge to allow me to integrate it into my existing setup.
I’ve been eyeing HA for years, and this is just annoying enough that I may finally be ready to make a switch to a new platform, but I have a few questions:
Do any of you have solutions to get Apple Music to cast to google home speakers, and what has that involved? If you know of nothing, what are your smart speaker recommendations, prioritizing broad compatibility across platforms/ecosystems?
If you’re going to integrate speakers with some kind of ai assistant, what do you prefer and why?
Ideally, I’d like to not trash my hardware, as google home devices are currently in every room, and 4 of those 6 speakers are also mesh points. I will if I have to, but buying 6 speakers and 4 mesh points is a big lift.
