Using a wall mounted fire tablet. Can it be powered with the battery removed? Or should I just let it charge to 100%?
Post Body
My concern is battery failure and fire from leaving it constantly charged to 100% with the screen on. Ideally I would turn off charging when it gets to 80% and turn it back on at 50%.
A smart plug is ordinarily a good solution, but not in my case. I was trying to use an ESP relay board but that's not going to fit into the space easily.
Can I just remove/disconnect the battery? Is there any other solutions I'm missing?
Is there any evidence that is not purely anecdotal suggesting that I'm overthinking this?
