what if its Cameron? like what if after Rayne is killed its revealed in flashback that after becoming worried about Peri's whereabouts Leela visited him in prison to ask on the off chance if Peri had visited him and told him that she was planning on leaving the Village.

but after talking the two of them become worried about Peri's whereabouts and Cam ends up escaping prison and going to try and find Peri and he ends up arriving to hear Peri exposing Rayne in front of everyone and hearing how she had Brent hold her Hostage (of course no one knows Cam is there he's Hiding from everyone)

so angered by this Cameron kills as revenge her sorta similar to how he tried to kill Nico in the maze fire as revenge for her locking Peri in the Bunker.
