My wife and I moved here about 7 years ago for a job after neither of us being born or living in Michigan. We have found it tough to make any type of friends in the Holland area....everyone around here it seems was either born and raised here so they already have their social circle.
Holland the city is great, but socially this is pretty tough on us being in our 30s, not Dutch, not from here and the people not being too welcoming to "outsiders".
Hello from a Cleveland transplant! I moved here in 2020 and that was a very strange time lol. I totally get what you mean. My fiance is from Kalamazoo, so neither of us really have social circles here!
