Great game! Lots of fun. Some suggestions (setting aside melee silliness, since already being fixed):

  • The point system is very odd, since things like killing flag bearers have nothing at all to do with winning a match. Either victory should take points into account, or points should only be rewarded for things like kills, taking objectives, damaging ships, etc. Kill streaks are reasonable since they're a positive reinforcement proxy for not dying, which does contribute to wins, similarly for support assists. Mainly the 50 officer kill, etc. is weird.

  • I find myself wanting to be able to go prone often.

  • Public servers should cycle game modes occasionally, not just maps.

  • Rifles are pretty OP. Slower reload is the clearest and easiest solution. Historically, they seem to have taken up to 2x as long. Or... just getting rid of them honestly, they cause a lot of problems and don't really seem necessary to have in the first place. The naval siege maps are perfectly fun, with no rifles.

  • Server join queues, please. Also a lottery for character classes within the first 30 seconds or so of map load, so it's not just whoever has a good latency gets whatever they want 100% of the time. Even better: be able to wait in line after death for a slot of a class to open if you wish. (Although nerfing good classes or buffing bad ones so that there's no need for artificial limits is better)

  • It would be really helpful to have a firing range menu map option, just a hilly field with targets that shows you groupings at different labeled ranges. For training, but also debugging and testing balance without stopping mid battle to take notes.

  • Why doesn't first person gun up show you looking down your barrel in an actual aiming capacity? it sort of awkwardly sits off to the side? Breaks immersion, you wouldn't shoot from the hip like that.

  • The amount of times that reasonable shots hit the rock 2 inches in front of me instead of going off into the distance, because of camera silliness is often infuriating. If no actual model clipping solution is feasible, please give a subtle indicator or something any time your shot will hit the landscape within the first 6 feet or something (not far enough to allow you to cheat when targeting people, but enough for walls)

  • First person and third person don't seem to fire from the same point on my character model? I think third person fires higher up? This is very disorienting and seems to contribute even more to the dreaded 2 inch away wall impact situations. It should be consistent, if I'm not crazy.

  • Be able to break reload in a crouch.

But mostly very fun, again! Thanks!
