Question - Do you INHERIT a newly acquired puppet's WARS?

Post Body

When I use a focus to demand to puppet a nation, say Japan, and they accept, will I the new master be forced into their war with the Allies? Or will a white peace occur? Could not find an answer, need help.

Context - Playing Manchuria, now Qing China. The Dominate Japan focus has a 40% chance of success to puppet them. Japan is really weak because I encircled and destroyed LITERALLY all of their first army in the Great Uprising, save for measly 1 cavalry division. Then peaced out. Now this weak Japan is fighting the Allies, which I don't want to fight... yet... I think.... I want to conquer the Soviet's separately with the Axis first.

Also what'll happen to Siam, and Japan's faction? --- Playing Ironman on a 1.82 save.
