In the Man the Guns, radar technology should be tied in to impact ships and naval combat.

As it currently is, the ship designer allows you to increase a vessel's stats like weapons, ASW, armor, etc.

I think that radar should be added to some classes of ships. It would give a buff to ships against naval bombers, or add a buff to detect enemy ships and give a surprise attack bonus. Naturally, this should be directly tied to the amount of technology invested into the radar tree. No tech = no radar!

I believe it would add a nice incentive to go down the radar tree as well, although I'm sure most people do it anyway in the current setup.

Thoughts?
