I’m hoping there’s a simple answer to this and I’m just being dumb. I know from reading all the guides that there are 33 Demiguise Moons in total (3 in the first quest, 10 in Hogwarts, 9 in Hogsmeade, and 11 in the Highlands). For my math below, I am excluding the initial 3 Demiguise at the start of the quest (therefore 30 total to be found). I haven’t gotten far enough into the game to get to the Marunweem, Bainburgh, and Cragcroft hamlets, but I did collect every other Demiguise Moon besides those three. If my math adds up, 9 Demiguise for Alohamora 2, and 13 Demiguise for Alohamora 3 is 22 Demiguise moons. Therefore, if I have found all but the last three, then I should have 5 moons in my inventory (10 Hogwarts 9 Hogsmeade 8 Highlands = 27). 27 found thus far minus 22 given to the quest should equal 5. I have 6 in my inventory. With three left to find, this will give me 9 moons after finding all of them. 22 9=31 moons. How is this possible? Does he only take two moons from the first 3 in the quest? Where is this extra moon coming from? Thanks to anyone that can help me understand this.
