Hi everyone, I recently got a hognose snake from a friend of mine who no longer had the time to look after him. It's an adult male, somewhere between 7 - 10 years old (my friend didn't know exactly). Regarding his diet, my friend "10 days old mice, in intervals anytime between 1 week and a month should be fine". These instructions are too unspecific for my taste, so I'm turning to you dear hive mind for some help.
I've been trying to do my research online, but every website gives me a chart based on my snake's size. Here starts my drama, I have no idea how big / heavy my snake actually is. I haven't handled him yet and I'd like to give it some more time to get used to each other before I start measuring him.
I did some more reading around and I was thinking to get some fuzzy mice (5-7g) and feed him in 10 day intervals. How does that sound as a plan?
Thanks in advance :)
