Pilots requested for upcoming mission - details inside.
Post Body

I'm very interested in flying two maps sometime soon. The first is Standby CSAR, and the second is Hacienda. Both have great production value and will be challenging but also good fun to fly.

I've flown CSAR a few times but we have yet to complete it successfully (last time the damn downed pilot surrendered to what I believe was a fuel truck that slipped by us...the coward...we were so damn close). It's a fast paced and very well made mission that requires a significant use of the good old Mk-1 eyeball. Hacienda is a new mission from the same designer and will require multiple in-air refuelings in addition to what I suspect will be a fast paced and challenging engagement.

The first challenge is: I believe both of these require require various combinations of muscle-memory level comfort with most types of ordnance employment and effective ordnance management , TDC & visual target identification, prioritization, and acquisition, as well as tanking, working well with multi-flight-group organization, keying coordinates, evading ground-to-air threats, etc. etc. In short, they are not noob night events.

The second challenge is: Hoggit has grown significantly over the last few weeks and both of these missions support only 6 ships. (CSAR is really a 4-shiper, but we've got a modified-for-six version that seems reasonable without breaking the balance too much).

So my question is, who feels comfortable with higher skill-level requirements and would be interested in flying one or both of these?

I'm semi-flexible on times (however Friday and Sat this week are both bad for me) and am usually available after 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on some weekends. I think CSAR could reasonably be done on a weeknight in maybe 2-3 hours. Hacienda is longer (3-4 maybe?).

I want those who feel comfortable with the A-10 to have a chance to express interest, but I also recognize we may have more volunteers than there are room for. At this point I'm really just trying to gauge interest levels and possibly start conversations on workable times.

Your thoughts?
