All my gear was stolen T___T looking for advice on new gear though!
Post Body

TLDR All my goalie gear was stolen. Haven't played in new gear in forever, went to the Goalie Monkey superstore, tried on everything, loved the Warrior stuff. G2 or G3 through...?

Quick sob story for my fellow net minders. My gear was stolen from my Jeep in a locked garage last weekend. All of my goalie equipment since high school. A full set of TPS R10 response pads (RIP TPS, I miss you guys T__T, also miss the sexiest goalie in the NHL in your sexy pads), my skates, chest protector, pants, even my University of Chicago jersey (just a club team jersey, but still we had them custom made and they were sooooo fresh).

Anyways, thankfully I live near the Goalie Monkey superstore in SoCal (it's literally goalie heaven), and I got to try on EVERYTHING (even the Od1ns). Of all the new gear, the Warrior G2 set really called to me. I know they're contentious among goalies (love or hate), but damn I think I'd be in the love camp from what I tried.

My main questions are this: (1) should I get the G2 set while they're hella on sale or should I hold out and try to get the G3 set when they launch? (2) Is the new set really going to be that much of an improvement and (3) is the improvement worth the wait?

Thanks r/hockeygoalies!

PS - if you see anyone in Cali playing in white TPS R10s with silver trim, hit me up. They're likely my pads.
