Any Canadians interesting in sharing a Sense Arena Plan?
Post Body

My son is 12 years old, and recently some drama happened with his team, and he won't be playing in the association anymore (through no fault of his own). We are able to get him into a different association, but not right away.

He's the only mixed race boy for hundreds of miles, and most of his teammates, coaches, parents of players etc. have very little experience with minority kids, and just don't understand why the things they say and do are shitty. I don't necessarily blame them for everything, with their age especially, but he also doesn't deserve to deal with that stuff all the time.

I believe the way the association handled it was what caused him to be bullied off the team. We found out from another parent that these things had been happening before, and were swept under the rug. We were, I think, understandably upset, and demanded they address it. He begged us not to, but it was some horrible horrible stuff that we couldn't ignore. So the two best players on the team were suspended for two practices after a tribunal hearing, and my son forever "played the race card" in the eyes of these kids' parents, and they didn't want the best players to sit out any games, so they just got a couple weeks off of practice.

It's been disheartening, he's pretty sad, and he wishes we never got involved. I wish we never had to. I want to get him a year of NHL Sense Arena. He already has a Quest 2, so that's great, I'll just need the sensors otherwise, but the full price is just too much for me to afford. Anyone want to split??
