Post Body

Hopefully this post doesn't break any rules as I think it's relevant to hockey card collectors.

So apparently some dude (name shown in picture) who worked for upper deck has been sued by the company for stealing cards obtained for their redemption program.

A law suit was filed 2 weeks ago in North Carolina. Basically this guy had access to and was stealing the redemption cards right under their noses. Then selling them privately.

Estimates from upper deck regarding total theft is up to $500k. The most expensive card discovered was $60k. Wonder which card this was?

With cards worth so much these days, upper deck needs to have an assessment of their practices and policies. This has been obvious and this news is not surprising at all.

Many folks have been waiting long long times for your redemptions...now you may know why.

You can read more about this on Paul Lesko twitter. Which is kind of interesting as he summarizes hobby lawsuits. And there's lots lol.
