How can you tell the difference between legitimate trades and playoff-push rentals?
Post Body

Just what the title says... I've been watching hockey for over a decade and I still can't tell the difference this time of year.

Say a player you really love is traded from your team. How do you know if it's a legitimate expected long-term trade of just a playoff rental? Help a gal out?
