I'm so freakishly nervous. Didn't sleep at all. I came to my favorite sub to distract myself.. But I've run out of things to read. No trades happening at 4am I guess... shocking.

So on the off chance that anyone is awake right now... Distract me, hockey friends? What's you're favorite hockey memory? When did you fall in love with hockey?

I think I was 12 when I fell in love with the sport. I watched my first game, and it happened to be in person. Fort Wayne Komets vs Rockford Ice Hogs. I remember clearly (12 years ago!) hearing the buzzer at the end of the first period and thinking 'wait.. That was 20 minutes already?' Fastest 20 minutes I'd ever experienced. I was hooked on the excitement from the second the puck hit the ice.

Anyway, if anyone reads/responds to this, thanks. :) hockey is the best sport in the world and it has the best fans in the world (even you, Hawks fans). <3 you guys

[EDIT]. So..this is Indie_Gal60..I'm Dreamer_dw's mom. She has had the day from Hell. Complications from the surgery have required her to be admitted to the Telemetry Ward of our Heart Center at least overnight. I have been reading your comments to her and you all have really kept her spirits up...and she was guilded! Hopefully she'll be able to update you herself tomorrow!
