I submitted this a few days ago but it didn't get the traction I was hoping for. This is the last time I'll try to promote this (out of respect to /r/hockey, I don't want to be labeled a spammer).
We've created a subreddit called /r/hockeywriters[1] .
In light of the recent AMAs with Mirtle and DGB, I'm sure there are plenty of writers out there who are just starting out and other bloggers who would love the exposure that Reddit can bring to your page.
As a hockey writer, I think this could also be a good opportunity to network with other writers. Who knows, you might get noticed by someone.
r/hockeywriters is a sub for people who love to write about hockey and wish for a means to display their work. Have a hockey blog? Wrote an article? Feel free to post a link to your latest work here! There's no shame in promoting your own work. People are encouraged to comment on and critique submissions. We're trying to be a friendly and helpful community, so while offering an honest critique is the best way to help people out, don't be a dick.
Please submit only posts that have to do with hockey writing, whether it be your own article, a self post asking for writing tips/general writing discussion, or even someone else's piece about hockey writing. Don't post links from NHL.com, that's what r/hockey is for.
Our aim is to have a subreddit dedicated to the lesser-knowns of the hockey blogosphere. So if you have your own blog or you write for another website feel free to submit a link. But first we need some users to subscribe and post. It's looking pretty bare over there right now.
Ultimately, we'd love to see this sub become an interesting and diverse source for hockey news.
So come help us and yourself out.
Anyone is free to submit their own work/blog posts. So don't be shy!
Thanks.
