Hey guys, happy new year! I'm happy to say that I'm almost done with the first phase of cleaning my room (phase two will be when I finally deep clean all the clutter that has fallen into the crevice that has formed between my bed and the wall, as well as everything under my bed). It has been such a battle with my depression waxing and waning, but I;ve noticed that with some good music and my favorite incense, my mind goes completely blank when I clean, and I actually feel a lot better by the end as I look over all my work. To be honest, a lot happened to me while I was at college, and I want to take the time and make this room feel more like my home, an actual sanctuary that reflects who and what I have become.
Thank you guys for all of your wonderful suggestions, for just listening, and for being here. Thanks to this forum, I've gone from feeling defeated to having a true sense of purpose. Have a great night guys.
P.S.
I also found a totally cringe-worthy box of pocky stuck to the wall when I moved my night stand. Definitely not cute, but it felt good to peel it off and throw it away. I haven't seen this section of my wall for years.
