Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a fairly significant hoarding issue for reasons that I’ve largely worked through. (Long story short.) I would like to find someone who could come and help me go through everything room by room, and to help with cleaning along the way.

This far I have approached several cleaning companies, but have been told that they don’t work with hoarding. I also contacted the two local “hoarding specialist” companies, but was told that they just clean everything out of your house in one day “like they do on the ‘good’ tv shows”. Tbh, I think that approach might kill me, and I think it would cause more problems and retrigger a bunch of the things that started the problem to begin with.

Does anyone have any tips for finding someone who will help without treating me like I need to be on a reality tv show???
