Can you still get sick occasionally even if you have been Undetectable and regularly take your ARV's?
Post Body

These past few months have caused a lot of stress and anxiety to me - mainly due to pandemic - both on my personal and professional life. (Won't be sharing the full info for brevity, but happy to do so if you want)

But anyway, just this week, I have been diagnosed with shingles.. My doctor said that it could be due to that stress and anxiety that I have been experiencing, which kind of messed up my immune system.. I wasn't sure why this happened, despite the fact that I've always been Undetectable and regularly take my ARV's. I'm thinking maybe UD people can still get sick, just like other people.

Before this shingles thing happen, I have mostly been totally fine.. Like, the last time I had a flu was 5 years ago..

Has anyone experienced something similar to this before? Would love to hear about your experiences/thoughts.

PS: this post is not meant to seek further medical advice - I just wanted to know if someone else were in a similar situation before. :)
