Hey all, I'm in California until the 9th of July (flying back to Europe from LA). I'd really love to drive the route 1 but unfortunately don't have a license so renting a car is not an option. I started wondering about hitchhiking instead. It's a bit of a once in a lifetime missed opportunity for me, since I won't be back in the states anytime soon.
I'm 26/f, travelling alone. I hitchhiked around Europe with no problem (tend to go with older folk/couples/etc), but the friends I made here tend to think it's not a good idea. So I'm looking for advice from the wider hitchhiker community. Thanks!
