Hello all, a couple of years ago I wanted to read something about war and how soldiers experienced it (what they thought, felt, did, etc.). So I got a book by Roy Adkins, specifically "Gibraltar: The Greatest Siege in British History". I was blown away by how Adkins did so much research and put life into an event that I've never heard anyone talk about. He perfectly detailed how to Siege progressed, the tactics involved, the feelings of the soldiers, and (my favorite part) little interesting or funny stories from individuals within Gibraltar at that time. My question is, what are some books that are similar to this one? (preferably about war). Thanks in advance.
