Where did the unlucky stigma behind the number 13 and the full moon come from in American culture? Did they even come from American culture?

I was born on a Friday the 13th and my friends often, jokingly, shun me whenever a Friday the 13th rolls around. I was pondering the whole stigma and realized I had no idea what the significance of the day even was, I'm hoping r/history will be able to help me.
