Help on how to repair a snapped thrusting rod?

Howdy! I have an XLR and it serves me well. I have a roomie, and I had gone out of town, come back, and found the main thrusting rod snapped as well as the snapped connector sitting on my dresser. Roomie of course has not fessed up to wrong doing. But oh well.
The machine is still under warranty, but no response from two weeks ago. So, I ask you guys, how can I fix or replace the rod myself? Beyond superglue or duct tape which both seem definitely not ideal. 🤣
