Small studio in Montreal looking for a contract computer graphic vector artist. We are about a year into development of a space themed 2D platform brawler game in Unity and are looking for a vector artist for the following graphics:
Character skins (Astronaut, Alien, etc)
Weapons (Futuristic, Sci-Fi, Cyberpunk esc, there are ALOT of them)
Level Elements (Traps, Buttons, Walls, ...)
Backgrounds (Space, SpaceShip, Factories, Arenas, Weird stuff)
The style of the game is futuristic, kinda gory, and humorous in a 2D cartoon style. The job pays actual money (For those just collecting Exposure, sorry we can't promise our game will be a hit) We would prefer if you lived in Montreal since it would be best for you to be able to come in to play and see the game every once in a while. A requirement is that you be a Vector artist. (Preferably Photoshop, as it allows our current artist to make adjustments) Our game has alot of zooming so scalablity and avoiding mip-mapping is important, as well as being able to color or dis-attach certain layers. (Building proper layers in photoshop is very important, a messy hierarchy will probably be a deal breaker)
We have 2 current part time artists who have set the style and we can provide our current art to build off of. However they are primarily developers and we would like to free them for other tasks.
If you have any additional skills in Unity Shader programming or particle systems, that would be a definite bonus and provide more work.
We welcome any kind of applicant (Professionals, Hobbyists, Students), however we request a portfolio or samples similar to what was mentioned above.
